A movement built around the small percentage of people whose O-negative blood can be critically important when it is needed most.
Why 7%
Roughly 7% of people have O-negative blood.
O-negative red cells can be given in emergencies when a patient's blood type is unknown. They are critically important in trauma and emergency medicine — and can play an important role in transfusions for newborns and infants.
7% For All exists to recognize, mobilize, and celebrate this small group of universal red-cell donors. The mission begins with the 7%.
An annual observance
Once a year, we call the 7% together — a concentrated national moment around O-negative blood donation. The goal: an officially recognized Nevada and national observance.

Why O-negative matters
They can be needed in emergency rooms, trauma situations, ambulances, operating rooms — and for vulnerable newborn and infant patients. A small group of donors carries an outsized importance. That is the reason this movement exists.

Our story
This began personally. Founder Keith Waggoner is an O-negative blood donor himself. After realizing how small the O-negative donor population is — and how important those donors can become in emergencies, trauma care, and certain newborn and infant transfusions — he began asking a simple question: what if the 7% had a day of their own?
That question became 7% For All: a movement to recognize, mobilize, and celebrate universal red-cell donors — and to build The 7% Day into an annual observance that reminds them how unusually important their donation can be.
“I’m one of the 7%. I want to see what happens when we bring the rest of us together.”
— Keith Waggoner, Founder
7% For All™ was founded by Keith Waggoner in Nevada in 2026.
